Cold Turned Into Laryngitis, Chest Pain. Doctor Gave Amoxicillin, Paracetamol.
3 weeks ago l had a cold which turned into laryngitis I felt poorly & doctor gave me an antibiotic as it turned into a chest infection things seemed to get a little better but it didn't quite go & I still was left with a chest pain so doctor gave me 500mg Amoxicillin which after 48hrs gave me server diariara so was told to stop taking them, now a week later the pain on my right side is just as bad I don't think it's a infection of the chest shock my doctor doesn't think as it doesn't hurt when breathing in it out! I take paracetamol when this starts which seems to take the edge off! But if I wake in the night it kills it makes me cry with pain! My doctor a week ago said it was muscle as I had a nasty cold/laryngitis & coughing all the time, but now l don't cough hardly at all! He filled out lung infection cuz no pain when I breath in or out, please can you help me it does hurt on & off in the day but a lot worse if I wake in the middle of the night & first thing when l wake! I only did this because l read it was free I don't have money to spend on this I will talk to my G.P on monday as my husband as just been made redundant & money is going to be tight!
Hi, From history it seems that due to Laryngitis having dry cough might have given strain to chest muscles producing chest pain. So apparently you have got myalgia. But to be on safe side go for x-ray chest to rule out pleuritic pain. Ok and take care.
