Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Your wife ultrasound report shows blighted ovum so she need abortion.
Her doctor prescribed abortion pills because her pregnancy is small she needs medical abortion.
Two different drug is given because one drug separate the ovum from uterine wall and other help in expulsion.
So don't worry, go as your doctor said.
Good luck.
Take care.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Its a medical method of termination of pregnancy. it acts by blocking action of natural progesterone (which is necessary to continue pregnancy). other tablet is to make cervix soft, which helps in opening of cervix and causes uterine contraction to expel products of conception,
Its a comparatively safer method, and in 95% cases causes complete abortion.
She needs to be re examined to check for complete expulsion.

Consult your doctor if she gets prolonged bleeding.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take
care.

Regards
Dr. Vidya
