Concerned About STD And HIV Infection After Unprotected Sex. Have Burning Sensation In The Urethra, Weakness. Suggestions?

Hi Dr.

I had sex (Oral Once & Vaginal)with a call girl last friday. I used latext condom during this. I dnt think there was any condom break. Since after two days i feel bit unesay, weak. I am feeling a slight burning sensation in my urethra. Body temp is between 97-98F. However i feel a kind internal heat in the body. M not able to focus in my work. Verry stressed with the fear of getting HIV. Since it is too early to go for HIV Test, I hv not yet tested for HIV..!! is there iany possibility that i hv been infeted with HIV..!!! should i get tested for STDs..!!! Please suggest..

I am so sorry about the troubling thoughts you are having right now.

Your fears are genuine. You used a latex condom and never think there was any break in it.....this means the chances of getting infected by an STD are very very low. I will suggest you try to keep calm.

These symptoms are very non specific. They sound more like you expressing your fears than what is going on for real because I can not put all of them into a single package.

Getting tested is always a great idea. But if you for real you think it could be infections gotten from this act, I am afraid it is not going to be very helpful now. You may want to wait a little before using that money and making sure you use when best indicated. Do so in about 3months from the dates!

Keep a cool head. Your chances are very very low. Unless you make it on the list of rare occurrences, this act should not have been the culprit.

Have you considered getting into a more stable relationship? maybe it will spare you the stress of having sex with unknown partners and what the risks are.
