Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Constant Headache, Abdominal/leg Pain In A 5 Yr Female With Tiredness And No Appetite.
5 yr female tiredness and no appetite all day, with c/o leg pain and headache and abdominal pain. Later on c/of neck pain. noticed her shivering' she had a temp of 101.3 Tylenol given, lowered fever to low grade but pt is still c/o headache, abdominal pain and leg pain.
What you are describing could be the flu. The fever, headache, shivering, and body ache are all indicators. In such a case, hydration and other comfort measures such as temperature control, are important while the illness runs its course. However, if the symptoms persist for more than 2-3 days, I would consult your pediatrician to verify the diagnosis. The illness is self limited, but contagious. Precautions such as hand washing should be taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
