Continuous Muscle Spasm And Seizures. History Of Radio Wave Procedure In Lower Back. No Relief With Keppra And Baclofen. Advice
my mother had a procedure last thursday (9 days ago) radio waves in her lower back. She has sever arthritis. Now The monday after that procedure, she was taken to the ER with continuous muscle spasms or seizures. After 1000 mg of keppra, she was released from the hospital with baclofen as a medication to help. Now she is back in the hospital and still "twitching". Could this have been a result of the back procedure?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Since the mild muscle relaxants are not offering any relief from the spasms, you may need to have stronger muscle relaxants. This needs a direct examination for proper prescriptions. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
