Cough And Cold Which Has Not Subsided Since 4 Months, Chest Tightness, Fatigue. Reasons ?
Hello. In May I contracted a cough and cold which hasn t subsided 4 months on. I then started having chest tightness and fatigue 3 weeks ago. All tests ( lung xray, blood, infection, pneumonia myco, ect) have bcome back negative. I worked in Haiti for 3 months at the beginning of the year returning home n April. Might this be a tropical bacteria? Thanks.

A long lasting symptom like cough - without fever, weight loss etc - more than a month - NEEDS extensive investigations. One has to rule out a few serious things - more than to rule in simple ones.
Have you done a CT chest (X-ray)? Has Lung function test (Spirometry) been done?
