Cough And Low Grade Fever. Took Antibiotics. Symptoms Persisting. Why?
I m 54 male and had slight cough and low grade temp. I saw My Doctor and she put me on a 5 day course of antibiotecs ... I kept taking panadols to ease the pains and remove fever. Abtibiotic course fiinshed today and I still have the same symptoms , (that is if I do not take panadols) . I am a sports person ( not lately though) and I do not remember the last time I had a fever ... but this one is annoying .. my doctor is travelling so I thought to check the net ... any ideas?

For your cough and low grade temperature you have taken antibiotics and panadols for fever,but you still have symptoms..i will ask you that are you a asthamatic before?
Slight cough may be caused by throat irritation or infection..not only from lungs infection..
Consult chest physician or ENT specialist to get your problem verified..mean while keep doing salt water gargling at least twice a day.
