Cough With Blood, CT Scan Showed Spots On The Anterior Left Lung. Chest X-ray, Bronchoscopy, Blood Tests Normal , Biopsy Inconclusive. What Are The Spots?
was coughing up blood 4 wks ago chest xray taken ....was normal . CT scan done spot found on anterior left lung ... lung biopsy done results inconclusive ... broncoscopy done results came back ok except for red spots throughout the left lung almost like it has the measles . no other symptoms and all blood test come back normal ... what might these red spots be ... still waiting on pathology reports from washings obtained during broncoscopy
I have read your concerns and i think you might be suffering from Endobronchial tuberculosis. It is a form of tuberculosis which may present with normal chest x-ray but CT scan Thorax and bronchoscopy shows features suggestive of disease, as is in your case. The treatment is with the anti-tubercular drugs for 6months, if treated for the first time. it is a completely curable disease.
Wait for your pathology report, i feel it will be suggestive of tuberculosis.
Wish you a good health and success.
Thanks
