Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Began taking Gabapentin 300mg once a day, 2 days ago--I ve had doses 2 doses. Are these Side effects typical: nausea, dizziness? Other drugs I take are actorvistatin and Buproprion. I have been suffering from atypical (no sharp pain) occipital neuralgia. Gabapentin was prescribed by a pain specialist.
As per your query you have nauseatic feeling along with dizziness . Well there can be many reasons for nausea and dizziness like low blood glucose or iron level , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) , infection , meniere's disease , migraine , neurological , inner ear infection and due to certain medicines . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms occur due to medicines your are taking . Gabapentin is known to cause such symptoms , beside that anti depressants like Buproprion is also known to cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult pain specialist as well as doctor who prescribed Buproprion . Doctor may alter the dose of these medicines or prescribe some substitute . or now avoid bending forward and drink green teat thrice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
