Does smoking Marijuana in any way affect Fibrous Dysplasia? I am a 16 year old male, who suffers from constant chronic pain. I have broken my addiction to opiate pain killers and do not wish to take them again. I take massive amounts of over the counter painkillers to get rid of my pain. I have been looking into smoking marijuana to relieve the pain. Will it make my condition worse? I have monostatic fibrous dysplasia in my clivus bone. It is benign.
OOOhhhhh... fibrous dysplasia in Clivus....No cannot see how it could possibly affect the bone. Some people have fibrous scarring of LUNG with smoking marijuana (it is RARE for the type in which the scarring is severe). Marijuana is often used in chronic pain. Massive amounts of over the counter painkillers can be quite dangerous. Tylenol in single overdoses can cause serious liver problems. Aspirin like drugs can cause stomach ulcers and can also cause kidney damage.
