Hello, I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. In your case as you are already a week late for your periods I suggest you to have a urine pregnancy test with early morning urine sample done to rule out pregnancy but the chances of being pregnant are low. Delayed periods can be due to your stress levels in you too. If your UPT is negative and still you do not get your periods then repeat the test after 5 days if still its negative then it is due to the stress levels and you need to do stress relieving things to get your periods and also consult your OBGYN to know about other causes of delayed periods.
Regards, Dr.Alekhya.
