Could A Spot In Chest X-ray Of An Infant, Having Undergone Heart Surgery, Be Cause For Concern?

Our little girl had heart surgery at 6 days old. She had clear chest xrays up until the day after surgery. They ruled it as pneumonia. She is still tugging some, so the cardiologist ordered a chest xray yesterday and her lung still has a spot. I'm worried sick. She acts fine- she's happy and eating. Any ideas?

HI I have read your query and concerned
as you said your child had undergone a major surgery ,there might be a chance that it might be pneumonia if you can upload all xrays we can be of some help to you (xray prior to surgery and xray post surgery).as he is doing wellnow with out having any symptoms (fever, and other constitutional symptoms ) i would suggest you to wait for some time
hope your son gets well sooon
