Hi. I currently work night shifts and am now on my day off. My sleep pattern is destroyed. I had about 4 hours broken sleep last night and feel really dizzy today. That s not the odd part. Yesterday, I was out and about and got this massive sudden onset of dizziness that lasted about 5 seconds and then I felt really strange afterwards. Haven t been right since. No headache or anything else, just dizziness and a feeling of disconnection if that makes any sense. Any advice?
Hi, I read your query and can understand the problem that you seem to be facing. Dizziness following lack of sleep is a definite possibility. I would like to know if you had any symptoms of anxiety like palpitations, sweating or tremors too associated with your other symptoms. Also, knowing your age is important too. As of now I would suggest to make sure you have adequate sleep. If you have night shifts, make sure you sleep adequately enough during the day. If still the symptoms persist, you might need to undergo some investigations including ECG and measurement of postural blood pressure. Hope this helped. Get well soon. Best wishes.
