Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have elevated blood pressure be due to the change in generic drug Carvedilol .Carvedilol is a beta-blocker. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation .Carvedilol is used to treat heart failure and hypertension . Well this drug is not known to cause such effect as your mention in query and your present blood pressure and heart beat are quite normal . But if your still feel uncomfortable with this drug your should reposrt such effects to your cardiologist without any delay . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute .
