Could Exercising Cause Lymph Tenderness?

I have a swollen area in arm pit and had a few nodes taken out 16 yrs ago when I had br ca. Nodes were negative. Swelling started since upper body weight training. Swelling varies and sometimes is painful. Can exercising be cause of lymph tenderness?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN.
Simple physical exercise is not likely to cause lymph node enlargement. There has to be some infection/infiltration by breast tumor ( ca breast recurrane.. but it can be excluded by presence of tenderness. Ca lesion is always firm to hard, fixed to adjoining tissue & painless.. unless infected. )/stress.. itching or engorgement of disturbed lymphatics following excision.
you need to consult your onchologost earliest to assess tje lesion & be relaxed/start with proper management
Thanks.
