Welcome to Health care magic.

1.Lymph nodal enlargement is seen in the presence of localised or systemic infection / inflammation.
2.Also seen in the presence of any benign / malignancy.
3.Most commonly lymph nodes are hypo to hyper-echoic in nature. Hypoechoic are seen in malignancy - but not definitive. Definitive diagnosis is FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology.
4.Lymph nodal enlargement is seen in the lymph nodal pathology itself ( lymphadenopathy - Hodgkin's , Non Hodgkins ) FNAC id definitive.
5.The lymph nodes over a time can undergo degenerative change and may have cystic changes are seen.
6.Treat the cause first, if you are aware of.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
