Hi, I had a sinus infection for a week and then was put on antibiotics because it was all draining into my throat... now i have a wisdom tooth that has erupted and have a slight fever... could this be due to the wisdom tooth because I am not coughing up any mucus and i just feel tired
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The fever is because of the erupting wisdom tooth. It is normal to have pain, fever during eruption of third molar. Nothing to worry. Take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin 500mg and metronidazole 400mg tid for 5 days (if you are not allergic). Consult a oral physician and get a radiograph done to rule the amount of space present for the tooth to erupt if space is there for the tooth to erupt then the gum covering over the wisdom tooth can be removed. If the space is not available then you have to get the wisdom tooth removed. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
