Could Flu Like Symptoms Indicate Blood Clots In Legs?

one of our associates just called for a walk in clinic and has been told to go directly to the ER. The attending physician is concerned our associate might have blood clots in his legs. He is mid-40 and seemingly in good health otherwise. He was off today and sought medical attention as he was running a fever and had flu like symptoms over the weekend. What would cause this symptom?

Hi.

I do not understand how the two can be linked and am sure the associate would have reported something extra to your doctor on duty. Main symptoms for suspecting a thrombus in the legs are tender or painful legs, swelling in legs, visible veins, warm skin over legs, discolored legs, and tired legs. None of the symptoms you mentioned point towards any of these.

Best wishes.
