Could Growth Of Wisdom Teeth Be The Cause For Inflammation Of Tonsils?

I have six wisdom teeth total. Four on the top and two on the bottom. One pair has come in completely on the top. A second pair is coming through on the bottom now, and they're approximately halfway through the gums. My gums behind the first pair on top are tender so, I assume the third pair will be surfacing soon as well. Recently, the discomfort I have felt during their growth has been solved with dosing ibuprofen intermittently. However, prior to the use of ibuprofen, my tonsils and lymph nodes were inflamed, and I attributed it to the growth of my wisdom teeth. The tonsils were tender and swollen, as were the glands under my jaw. My question is, could the growth of wisdom teeth cause this kind of inflammation, and what can be done to prevent it? On a side note, I have recently had nosebleeds as well so, is there a possible correlation or causation?

As per your query Yes it is true that in case if there is inflammation of gum flap over the erupting wisdom tooth known as Pericoronitis due to which there is tenderness and pain, the pain can radiate to throat causing sore throat and inflammation in throat and due to Pericoronitis only there is swollen lymph nodes under the jaw..

You can take a course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin 5OO mg three times a day. Ibuprofen 4OO mg three times a day, Pantoprazole 4Omg once in the morning empty stomach and all these has to be continued for 5 days..

Along with this doing warm saline gargles and cold compresses over the swollen area over the face will help..

Maintain a proper oral hygiene and do not let food accumulate in the area of erupting wisdom tooth..
If still the inflammation does not subside consult a dentist and get evaluated as in a few cases the gum flap has to be removed by a minor surgical process known as Operculectomy..
