I am 26 years old and I have a child 2 years old.. I had an abortion 3 months ago because the doctor said no proper growth for the baby, I have done chromosomes test, the result was normal female karotype and done also TORCH test, the result was all is normal except CMV IGG +326 ( Ref Range negative< 6) and IGG Herpex Simplex- type 1 is +22 (Ref Range negative< 9).. Please note that I had aborted a baby before my first child for the same reason but didn't done any tests..
I am afraid for these two abortions..
Your advice is hightly appreciated
Hello dear Understand your concern. It is better to go for abortion as you have infections of cytomegalo virus and herpes simplex virus. This can be transmitted to the baby and it causes mental retardation, hearing problem, eye problem and also death sometime. Abortion affects general health but it can be manageable. You can plan another pregnancy after taking proper treatment of infection or you can also prevent the infection by giving antibody by consulting the gynecologist and fetal medicine specialist Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
