Could Heart Palpitations Be Related To Placenta Previa?

Hi. I was wondering if heart palpitations go along with a diagnosis of a complete previa? I had a complete previa with my last pregnancy and experienced heart palpitations most of the pregnancy. I am now pregnant on my third and just started back with the palpitations again at 16 weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with a right bundle branch blockage but was told I will be fine with that during pregnancy. I go in 3 weeks to check placement of the placenta again with this baby and I am starting to worry that this may be a symptom do a previa like last time. Just wondering if these can occur with a previa and what would be the reason?

Hello,

Heart palpitations are not typically associated with a diagnosis of complete placenta previa, which is a condition in which the placenta covers the entire cervical opening. However, heart palpitations can occur during pregnancy for a variety of reasons, including hormonal changes, increased blood volume, and changes in heart rate and rhythm.

It is possible that your heart palpitations during your last pregnancy were related to factors other than your placenta previa. Similarly, your current palpitations may not be related to your placenta previa or your previous right bundle branch blockage diagnosis.

It's important to discuss any symptoms or concerns you have with your healthcare provider, including your heart palpitations. Your provider may recommend further evaluation, such as an electrocardiogram or a referral to a cardiologist, to determine the cause of your palpitations and ensure your overall health and wellbeing during pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
