Could Hematoria And Burning During Urination A Symptom Of Cancer?

I am 43 year old female. Recent Drs. visit showed hematoria, I had burning during urination. Went for tests..... CT scan showed no renal masses, but mild circumfrential thickening of bladder wall, negative cystoscopy, negative cytology, negative UTI. I m concerned the hematoria and pain could be cancer.

Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have haematoma and pain while passing urine.

This is most likely to be due to engorgement of trigone(Trigonitis) as reported in cystoscopic findings.

Since all your specific tests like CT Scan,Cystoscopy and Urine Cytology are negative there are no chances of having cancer of the bladder.

Please do not worry and take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water ,this will help to keep your urine dilute and reduce the dysuria.
