Could Hot Flashes And Frequent Dizziness Be Due To Underactive Thyroid?
I am 30 years old, just had a baby about a year ago December, I have been getting hot flashes and dizziness more frequently in the last month....I have gotten my thyroid checked, but the results aren't back yet...does this sound like underactive thyroid?
Hello, I have gone carefully through your concern. The symptoms you described are not specific for underactive thyroid. Anyway, a TSH level would confirm or rule out an abnormality of thyroid function. Information about menstrual cycle would be helpful in this case. If it is still not present ( since you gave birth) than it may be the cause of your symptoms. Please inform me further about the above mentioned possible causes. It will be a pleasure to help you further. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
