Could Hurt In Lymph Nodes In Neck Be A Symptom Of Swollen Lymph Nodes Or Cancer?
hello Dr my name is auggie I have lots of lymph nodes in my neck can buy my throat they don t hurt but there are a few it quite a few of them um they hurt sometimes but when I touch them I can feel a bunch of bumps and I just want to know if its swollen lymph nodes or cancerousalso I just like to add that um they ve been here for about more than two years I just saw someone to know if it s worth going to see if it s cancerous or not the reason I haven t went in yet is because I don t have insurance at the moment but if its serious I will go in

Since these enlarged lymph nodes are from last two years , may be due to .
1 Secondary infection in nearby area as in scalp or in hairs of scalp . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a dermatologist .
2 Tubercular lymphadenitis is the most common cause of these enlarged lymph nodes. Diagnosis can be confirmed by biopsy of affected lymph node known as excision biopsy.
3 As these lymph nodes are from last two years and you didn't have any other problem so chance of cancer are nil. In my opinion need not to worry . If somewhere in body there is cancer than lymph nodes of nearby area are bound to enlarge but other symptoms also appear .
Still you have any doubt than consult an oncologist and get his opinion.
As I have mentioned above reasons deal accordingly.
