Could Laryngitis Cause Feeling Of Cold And Racing Heart?

Hi, I've been experiencing a cold for the past 3 days, the think that abnormal is I've been having a racing heart. The racing heart happened before a took my cold medicine so i know it wasn't the medicine that caused it. I'm also just all around sore. Yesterday night i was out in the cold, yelling at the football game. I'm sure that this didn't help my current situation but, I'm hoping it's not laryngitis. Thanks for your time.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello, thanks for your query , cold medicines contains nasal decongesents( phenyl ephedrine, pseudoephidrine). this medication can cause racing heart by increasing the heart rate. exercising or playing with nasal block can also cause raise in heart rate, in case of mouth breathing. kindly evaluate with an ent surgeon for definitive treatment. all the best. take care.
