Could Mild Fever, Irritated Throat With Yellow Mucus Mean E Coli Sinus Infection?

Is this likely an e coli sinus infection, allergies, or a common cold? E. Coli exposure 4 days ago and 1 day ago (not ingested, no GI Symptoms) and living in college housing so common bugs going around, and it is allergy season. Symptoms onset 4 pm yesterday, during E coli exposure time: itchy upper throat, dry, feels like mucus is stuck and cracking the throat lining. No redness yet, but heat and chills since last night, finally got a hold of a thermometer today and temp is 99.6 (I avg. 98.3-6). Mucus no longer clear, white light yellow, no odor.
