I was diagnosed with a DVT last year and in December 2010 was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden. I was admitted to A&E as I had a swollen ankle/foot with edema in the leg with the previous DVT. The D-Dimer Test came back positive, but the ultrasound shows no signs of recurring DVT. I also have a pain in my left arm, which is a bit like toothache. Can these be related. Do I need to get this investigated further if the d-dimer is still elevated and there is no clot?
Respected Sir,it seems related . though USG is nonconclusive, you must get contrast venography in form of final assessment, you can`t take chance by any means, as already diagnosed with past DVT and Factor V Leiden. thanks, regards
