Could Pain In Leg Radiating Towards Ankle Be Related To Broken Tailbone?

I broke my tailbone a week ago after a fall down the stairs. I am now having pain in my left leg. They shoot down my leg into my knee and ankle. There is some numbness in the upper outer thighs and tingling in some areas of my leg as well. I also have a small herniation in my lower back that is not pushing on a nerve. Is the pain etc. coming from the broken tailbone?

Hi welcome to Healthcare Magic. There is nerve course that goes from tailbone to our feet. So if you have broken tail bone, there is a possibility that the pain could go upto the ankle.
Firstly I want to ask you have you got Xray to confirm you have broken tailbone?
Are you under any medications for the same?
Do write back to me. Take care.
Regards,
Dr. Anuja
