Hi 7 Welcome.
The prescribed antibiotics are not responsible for sliding
hiatus hernia.
Penidure LA 12 (Pencom LA 12) is a long acting antibiotic called Benzathine Penicillin which is commonly prescribed to prevent the recurrent
rheumatic fever in patients suffering from
valvular heart disease (which seems to be mitral valve regurgitation in your case).
Generally it is well tolerated, however it may cause pain, swelling or mild bleeding at the site of injection (gluteal region)
It is not known to cause sliding type of hiatus hernia.
The sliding type of hiatus hernia occurs when your stomach and esophagus slide into and out of your chest through the hiatus. Sliding hernias tend to be small. They usually don’t cause any symptoms.
Since you seem to have some digestive problem which could be due to
acid reflux disease. You may take over-the-counter or prescription
proton pump inhibitors to prevent acid production and thus relief from the digestive problems.
Hope this will help you in getting rid off digestive problems associated with sliding hiatus hernia.
