Could Persistent Dry Cough Be Due To High Blood Pressure?

I have a persistant dry cough, now for over 4 months. Comes and goes over the past years. I have high blood pressure am on medication and i have some swelling in my ankles and feet.I do get huffing and puffing when walking up hills and stairs. I do an exercise class 4 times a week and walk to and from work everyday. I am also on thyroid medication. I have had a ct scan on my chest and it has been found that I now have slightly enlarged liver and slightly enlarged spleen. My blood test show a raise in my ALT levels and my bilirubin levels. I had my gallbladder out 12months ago as it had many stones. I am now going for a echocardiogram. Could my raised liver enzymes be from my gallbladder removal or something else?
