Could Popping And Soreness In Chest Be Indicative Of Pulled Muscle In Chest?

Hi, While doing tricep dips in the gym today, I heard and felt a pop in my chest and a very harsh pain. It s extremely sore ever since to tense my chest or reach forward, to the side or extending my arms at all. Could this be a pulled muscle in my chest? If so, how do I recover from this? Katie

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Recovery would require resting the affected area as much as possible to allow it to heal.

In addition the use of anti inflammatory pain killers would help to relieve pain and any swelling in the area.
This includes medication such as ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam

I hope this helps
