Could Prominent Veins In Arms With Red, Bumpy And Itchy Skin Be The Side Effect Of Nexplanon Implant?
I got the nexplanon implant two-three weeks ago. The skin around it is yellow bumpy itchy and red. My gp said she didnt know what this was and I should moisturise it. Today I noticed the viens on my arms being very prominent, normally my viens cannot be seen and doctors find them very hard to find. Could this be a side effect of the implant? Thank you.

Hi,
Mild inflammation can develop at the site of implant and can cause these symptoms. As of now, you can apply Mupirocin ointment over the implant site and if symptoms persist, it has to be removed and reinserted.
