Could Rashes On Penis With Pain In Scrotum Indicate Shingles?
My husband has he every symptom of shingles. net to er two times. First time dr said pneumonia. Two days later another dr said child be shingles to watch for rash, all through thee seven days he has complained of pain in his scrotum. I told dr at er that and he said he didn t think shingles rash wild appear in that area. Today my husband took shower and came out and said he had a rash on his penis. And he does, Also the area that was sore on scrotum has a pimple type thing looks like puss in it and some other little re humps like his penis, do u think it could be shingles coming out on his private are and if so, what should he do? If I were your husband' s treating doctor I would have certainly thought about shingles as he had pneumonia one week back which had put his body under stress and that could be a possible reason for shingles. Morever pain followed by appearance of rash is typical of shingles. I would have done tests on discharge from rash for virus presence, and then decide about next line of treatment.
I would like to advise you to kindly ask your husband to visit a skin specialist urgently. Meanwhile keep general health in good condition as reduced immunity levels is reason for shingles. Eat plenty of proteins, fruits and vegetables with increased fluid intake.
