Could Severe Fatigue Be Due To High Blood Pressure?
Hello, I was wondering if you can give me some insight on why I faint. Every since I can remember, whenever I am over heated I faint. If I am in a long line, on the bus, in the kitchen cooking, taking a hot shower, or even if I hit my knee I would faint. As of today, doctors say I do not have high blood pressure, but it runs in my family, so I do not take any meds for that. I know I need to lose weight though.
The symptoms in your situation can be related low blood press. Some advice that I can give are: 1) Use more salt in the diet. 2) Drink more water. It increase blood volume and help prevent dehydration, both of which are important in treating hypotension. 3) Wear compression stockings.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
