Endometriosis is a possibility. You might also have uterine fibroids. I wouldn't simply chalk this up to the change of life. This degree of pain and bleeding is worrisome. It can also cause significant iron deficiency and anemia. Get yourself to a gynecologist and have it evaluated. There are treatments to help reduce the bleeding and pain. You should also be checked to be sure you haven't become anemic. Hope this helps.
