Could Sinarest Drops Be Given To Infant For Double Breathing And Chest Congestion?
I am breast feeding each time and also supplementing with formula due to low milk supply which has not improved after 90 days of delivery. My little one has a double breathing for the past two days and it seems like a chest congestion. Will it be safe if I administer her 0.2ml of sinarest drops?
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
Do not self treat your baby. First get him examined by your doctor. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause. A baby should be exclusively breast fed till 6 months of age. Breast feeding is important as this contains the right things required for the baby in right proportions at the right time. It is ideal for brain growth. Breast milk prevents various infections like loose motions, respiratory infections, etc.
So give exclusive breast feeding for your baby till 6 months and continue to breast feed your baby till 2 years of age.
Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps. Take care. Dr Y V Siva Sankara Murty M.D.(Pediatrics) Associate Professor of Pediatrics
