Hi,

Weight gain is a common side effect of Loette pills and venlafaxine. Use of both Venlafaxine (anti-depressant) and Loette pill (combined oral contraceptive pill) has been associated with weight gain which appears to be due to fluid retention, lack of exercise, increased appetite, or other factors. These two drugs are not known to cause symptoms suggestive of sinus infection.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
