Could Slight Elevation In Blood Pressure Be The Cause For Headaches?

My heart rate is 96 bpm and my blood pressure is a little up (145/95)over what it is normally (130/85). I am overweight and not in that good of shape. I ve had a low grade constant headache for over a week now. Could the blood pressure and heart rate be causing the headache

Hello,

High blood pressure for prolonged period can cause headache. The other causes of headache are low sugar levels, sinusitis, migraine, deviated nasal septum, stress, anxiety or any tumor or bleeding in brain. In your case, the most likely causes are high blood pressure and stress.

Please use the blood pressure medication as prescribed by your physician regularly to control BP and thus prevent headache. If your headache is severe, you can take any pain relievers like Ibuprofen.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
