Could Slight Elevation In Cholesterol Level Be A Matter Of Concern?

I just had my cholesterol tested at a store. The total is 212 and my HDL is now up to 50. I am 42 year old woman and I am 5ft 5in. I am about 138 lbs. My good HDL was only 41 six months ago. In 6 months I raised the good cholesterol up 9 points. I eat nuts, flax seeds, and try to eat stuff everyday to help my cholesterol. I am a little concerned because the total is 212. However, six months ago it was 235. I am trying to get below 200. Do you think I should be concerned because my total is at 212? I take no medicines.
