I’ve seen suffering from a sore throat for about 3 days now. At first the pain was mild but now it has become very painful. I had mono about 2 years ago so I was wondering if there is a possibility that I have contracted it again. The symptoms I am feeling are similar to when I had mono, except I do not have a fever.
Hello A recurrent case of mono would be fairly rare and it's much more likely that this is either a viral or a bacterial pharyngitis. If this doesn't resolve in another two days you need to see a doctor to determine whether you need a course of antibiotics.
