Could Suggestion For Biopsy After Detected Thickening Of Uterus Suggest Cancer?

I am a postmenopausal woman. My doctor detected a thickening of the uterus through a pelvic exam, so he sent me for a pelvic ultrasound. I just received a message that I need to have a biopsy done, and I am frightened. How probable is it that I have cancer versus some benign condition at the age of 58?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Why do you worry to have an examination, actually it is done to exclude any malignancy, and to find what is the fault.
If at all there is malignancy, they will try to cure it so far they can do, that will be better than leaving it with fear of cancer.
Don't hesitate, to get examined, in many cases it may be negative for malignancy. If there is pre cancer, you can relieved of it.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
