Hello,
Swelling on the feet and toes can be indicative of water retention or high salt intake. It may be indicative of
varicose veins, kidney or
thyroid dysfunction, circulatory problems, anemia, etc. Sometimes, it may be indicative of pregnancy associated with
hypertension. Cut on extra salt intake, avoid sedentary life. Do regular walking to help better circulation.
Get clinically examined, get blood tests like T3, T4, TSH, CBC, blood sugar (F/PP), Hb%, Urinalysis, imaging tests done to detect any underlying disease that may be causing such symptoms. Get clinically examined to detect bulky uterus. Get USG (Uterus with
fallopian tube), sono to detect ectopic pregnancy, polyp, fibroid,
endometriosis, etc. To get rid of bloating, take PPIs, one when needed. Avoid taking oily, spicy or fried food. Get liver function tests done. Take digestives.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
