Could The Delayed Periods Be Due To Duphaston?

Hello doctor,
I had my period early last month and it lasted for just two days and very light. I was prescribed 10 tablets of duphaston 10 mg from 15th to 24th day of my cycle. Now, my period is delayed by 2 days this month according to my normal 28days cycle. I am having light stomach cramping similar to menstruation from the past 7 days like that i might bleed any moment. But, till now no. Am trying for baby for the past 6 months. I took a home pregnancy test today and it came out negative. Does it really mean that am not pregnant? Or is it because of duphaston its delayed? If so, when can i expect my period? Kindly advise. Thanks.

Hi,
I would suggest you wait for 3-5 days and repeat the urine pregnancy test or go for Blood hcg test which confirms whether you are pregnant or not.
Yes, duphaston can delay the period and can cause cramps.
