Could The New Birth Control Pill Have Caused Delay In Periods?

Hey so I'm having some sings of a uti and my period is late for almost a month now. If I do have a uti will it affect the result of a home pregnancy test? Also I just started a new birth control pill about a month ago so could that be the cause of my super late period?
