Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Since X-ray and elevated Rheumatoid Factor have confirmed the arthritis, you should start treatment asap. It is a progressive destructive articular disease. It's progression can be stopped or minimized with certain medicines. In the meantime you can take NSAID like Ibuprofen for pain.
RF is increased in other diseases also, and they must be ruled out by other investigations.
