Could The Purple Color Below My Waist Indicate A Poor Circulation?

My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeoloma, he has fracture on his spine and chest and starting radiation this week. He was hospitalized with double pneumonia which he was treated for, doctor found a hernia and had surgery. His body is looking purple from waist all the way down to his feet. Purple color is a sign of poor circulation but it is never limited to halt of the body as you are telling. Is his body feels little cold than upper half. Some time low haemoglobin also causes such discolouration. What is his Hb at present. I would recommend you to go to a general surgeon and get him checked.
