Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
Any
allergic reaction, and he medications used to treat it, are safe during
pregnancy. The sting of the bee will not harm the baby, but I would be extremely careful about you own health from the allergic reaction.
Bee sting allergies can get worse over time and there is no way to predict how severe your reaction might be next time. If your throat closes, it is much harder to treat a pregnant woman and an increased risk of death.
I strongly recommend you carry
allergy medication (like
Benadryl, or
Diphenhydramine) with you if you are going anywhere you may b at risk for bee stings. Taking medication right when you get stung lowers the change of your having a life-threatening reaction, and the medication WILL NOT harm the baby.
So in sumary, the bee sting and medications used to treat it are not a risk for the baby, however an allergic reaction is a risk for you. Try to carry allergy medication with you in case you ever get stung again to help prevent this.
I hope I adequatey answered your question and best of luck for your pregnancy.
Sincerely, Dr. Brown
