Hello,

Appendicitis and gastric ulcer symptoms are not same. Ulcers pain at epigastric region may be burning or squeezing pain which may aggravated in after food in gastric ulcer or decresed after food in duodenal ulcer.

Appendicitis pain is located at right iliac fossa or left iliac fossa, which may radiate to umbilicus. It may be associated with Fever, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation. Ultrasound may be useful to diagnose. if not CT may useful. For ulcer need upper GI endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
