Could The Vitamin D And Iron Deficiency Be Causing The Tingling In Hands?
I have constant tingling/pins and needles sensation in both palms and fingers. My blood work shows vitamin d deficiency and hemoglobin of 11 so iron deficiency anemic. Could the vitamin d deficiency be causing the tingling in the hands? If so, how long should it take to resolve now that I'm taking 50,000 IU once per week for the next few months? I am a 39 year old female. Recently had a baby (9-33-2013)
I understand your concern. Both, your iron defficiency and vitamin D defficiency are the cause of having this sensation in your hands. Vitamin D defficiency causes calcium defficiency which is the direct reason for this symptom. Vitamin D from food or suppliments have a half-life of 20-30 days, therefore a month should be plenty of time to build up in the system.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
