Hello, I can understand your concern. The structure hanging in the back middle of throat is uvula and it can be inflamed along with the infection of the tonsils causing sore throat. The white dot you are seeing might be the sign of infection only. As you have completed the course of antibiotics two weeks ago, it is possible that the infection causing bacteria were resistant to the specific antibiotic you were given and a higher molecule may be needed. I would advise you to go back to your ENT surgeon and go for throat swab culture along with blood tests to determine complete blood count. The test results will show type of microorganisms involved in the infection along with what type of antibiotics will work best against them.
